Hat trick boosts Carroll girls past Richland

Why Southlake Carroll won: The No. 5 Dragons took a 4-0 lead at halftime and allowed just one goal in the second half to defeat Richland 5-1 on Monday.

Key players: Neaka Khalilian recorded a hat trick (three goals) for the Dragons in the first half. Ally Griffin first got Carroll on the board with a goal in the 17th minute. Allie Luna and Mary Meehan each had two assists in the first half. In the second half, Brittany Martin found Alli Gardner for Carroll’s fifth goal.

Records: Southlake Carroll 12-1, 2-0 in 7-6A; Richland 7-5, 1-2.
